Branding & Identity
Project Overview
Create branding & identity for local brewery and expanding the overall visual identity of the brand onto other mediums.
My Contributions
Design a full scale brand & identity package for Marlene, provide continued design services that reach into the apparel design, social media design, indoor signage, beer labels, can design, stickers and many other mediums required for her business.
Starting from the ground up is never an easy route. This is something Marlene had to do. She reached out to me early in my career to see if I could help with some simple beer labels because she was creating some home brewed beers in her garage.

The professional relationship began at that point and evolved into creating a brand for her home brewed craft beer. The brand should reflect a balance between the traditional craft beer to the other side that was being brought by Marlene, which was the Traditional Mexican flavor. I kept this in mind when designing the logo. I also wanted to add a touch of modernism with simple shapes.

Along with the main branding, we wanted to have a secondary icon that they could use when the main logo application didn't allow for. Almost a wordless signature that would easily be recognized. That is where the Hop with Crown logo was created. Keeping with the simple shape approach we decided on minimal colors that still stood out and could easily be translated into a grayscale or Black & White format.

As an ongoing project, I have helped develop beer labels for glass bottles, aluminum can labels,
t-shirts, hats, stickers, coasters, event flyers/posters, social media posts, beer flight mockups, and many other design items!
