XL Public House

Branding & Identity
Project Overview
I worked closely with Oscar Alcala, one of the owners of the local Craft Beer Bar in downtown Salinas. As the new owner, he wanted help with an overall rebrand that still kept the same feeling as the original identity, but adding a more modern twist.
My Contributions
Redesigning the main logo, along with the secondary logo. Creating business cards, gift card design, seasonal menus, beer flight cards, front store exterior design and this continues to be an ongoing project with apparel design and other marketing elements.
Branding & Identity
XL Public House
September 2019 - Current
XL Public House has been a long standing craft beer bar in downtown Salinas for several years now. Known for offering local craft beers to its customer, it also offers a relaxing environment where someone can go for a beer before getting dinner or catching a local movie with the neighboring movie theater.

Keeping the same feel with this rebranding was something I kept in mind when working with Oscar and his partners. Using elements from the previous branding/logo I created options that kept that rustic and relaxing environment. The logo above is the final version we agreed on.
Along with the main logo, I suggested having a secondary version, that had a modern twist to it and that would be more friendly for mediums such as embroidered or screen printed items.

Along with creating branding elements, I assisted with expanding on this identity we created by applying certain elements to other necessary items they use such as refrigerator signs for Grab-n-Go Beer packs, seasonal food menus (when they partner with local restaurants), social media banners/posts, apparel design, front store design and a number of other helpful projects along the way.
